The Department of Nephrology offers complete diagnostic and therapeutic services for patients with kidney diseases and hypertension. Our fully trained UNOS-certified staff includes experts in kidney transplants and pre- and post-operative transplant care. We maintain a state-of-the-art dialysis facility which performs approximately 45,000 hemodialyses each year.
Nephrologists work closely with the Departments of Surgery for kidney transplantations, offering pre- and post-transplant counseling for patients and family members, as well as the latest therapies to help reduce the side effects of anti-rejection drugs.
Renal services include consultation, acute and chronic dialysis, apheresis, and continuous renal replacement therapy.

Our physicians are experts in all areas of kidney disease including kidney transplantation and kidney dialysis. We provide a full range of renal replacement therapy including inpatient, in-center and home dialysis services and peritineal dialysis services. Our highly specialized staff is involved in all aspects of predialysis care planning, including planning dialysis access.
